“The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
What's up with the acorns? They're the new ideas ... the small steps that lead to the future forest. Whether your company is just starting out or you've made the decision to reboot your marketing efforts, you've got to start with the acorns.
Fortunately, we love acorns.
Elizabeth's entry in the web development industry was pretty typical. She found herself in need of website (for a class reunion), but because websites were still so uncommon, she didn’t know anyone to ask. She then decided she was geek enough to develop it herself, and Soho Web Solutions was born.
That was 1999 . Since that time, the company has experienced a name change and some wonderful additions to the team. And in the meantime we haven’t stopped learning, coding, designing and marketing our way into the hearts of our clients.
You should, of course, choose your marketing and web development team carefully. But it's also important we choose our clients with care. For the first 14 years of our existence, we operated entirely on word-of-mouth business. As we grow, we will continue to accept clients for whom we can do a great job. If we do not feel that we are the right fit for your industry or your particular requirements, we will help you locate a firm that is. The right fit makes all the difference.
Our ideal client is a small to medium-sized business owner who doesn't have the time to build a beautiful and professional website for themselves, but refuses to establish their company’s online presence at a cookie-cutter template site. They have no idea how to make a website play nicely with all of the ever-changing bells and whistles available to businesses today, but they want access to them all. They want their website to work for them 24/7, and they are committed to keeping the content fresh and oriented toward their best customers and prospects. They believe whole-heartedly that a website must act as a major marketing tool and must coordinate with all of their other marketing efforts -- online and off.
Our ideal client understands that departments tend to blame their mistakes on other departments, and believes it’s a good idea to have a trusted group handle as many related pieces as possible. The buck stops with us. We manage our clients’ websites, mobile sites, social media setups (and consulting), email accounts, website hosting, domain registration, online SEM marketing and SEO. We also handle marketing plans and print marketing materials that coincide beautifully with the websites we create.

A tree says: A kernel is hidden in me, a spark, a thought
~ Hermann Hesse
Here's what we do in (an acorn) nutshell.
We design professional websites that are clean - but beautiful. We carefully consider layout and menus to provide logical information architecture - so that your visitors have an uncomplicated, yet productive, experience.
Our latest designs are responsive. What does that mean? View our website on your mobile phone, your iPad, your laptop and your home computer and you'll see it adjust according to the screen sizes of your gadgets, and the various browsers they employ. It doesn't just become smaller. The elements adjust so that they are readable despite the various screen sizes and orientations.
Features and add-ons. Plug-ins. Bells and whistles! Don't let your website just sit there ... make it work for you!
Collect data, show those cool videos, highlight the shiny stuff and turn those visitors into customers, patients, buyers, business partners and devotees!
We'll help you determine the appropriate plug-ins for your industry, and we'll integrate them into your website.
This is where the rubber meets the road. It's is the reason you have a website in the first place!
We make your presence known online, ensure that your site is following the rules set forth by the search engines, and tie your website to your social media efforts and offline materials.
We've been SEM (search-engine marketers) and PPC (pay-per-click) specialists since before the acronyms were coined, and we know how to make them work for your company website.
